I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels (Isaiah 61:10)
When the day comes that We shall wear the wedding dress
I'd prepare myself a white dress with beautiful jewels: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, compassion, humility, patience, forgiveness, righteousness, mercy, justice, and thanksgiving;
All of which were purchased with toils and a long suffering
So as to make my Lord happy and impressed, and see my King smile
One more time and to perpetuity
Lord, I am not rich, but I am working hard to buy those jewels
People wronged me greatly, but I have not sought a revenge,
For I believe in Your love, mercy and justice
The tears rain on me like diamonds: red, pink, blue, green, yellow, and black
Red diamonds, blue diamonds, ruby, sapphire, and emerald alike will adorn me
I want a fine white linen made of good and saintly behaviors
And of patterns never beholden to anyone like a veil of virgin
Your mercy is better than anything earthly or heavenly
I can suffer because You are. As long as you are, I am.
They asked what I shall do when I see you at last
I said, I will just break down and kiss your feet in tears
The great persecution is waiting me ahead, and my winter shall be brutal, but
Resilience is my second nature, as You made me a supporting force
Bless me the Spirit of Patience as I am volcanic at times and bombastic at others
Who shall rightfully proclaim Your Marvelous Love but Your People, Thy Kingdom
In suffering I remembered the most precious gift
Then I realized I ought to give You my life as You have given me Yours
The nature of beauty is suffering that achieves greatness
Every pain shall be weighed on the scale of justice and be redeemed by the righteous Judge
Which gift does Jesus like? That is the perennial question
